Steel vs Aluminum Horse Stalls

Steel stalls always rust. Paint, galvanize coating, galvalume and powder coating can’t stop rust. They only slow it down. Horses chew; equipment scratches bars & rails and rusting starts. Once rusting starts, it’s only a matter of time before an investment in steel is destroyed. ARC stalls have aluminum grills that never rust.

ARC stall bars are better in many ways: As you see in the photos,

• They are much heavier which makes them much stronger.
ARC bars use a harder alloy which further enhances strength.
• They are spaced closer together to be safer for your horses.
ARC bars are 3 ½” taller for more airflow and a more attractive stall.

Competitive stalls come only with the thin wall bar shown. ARC offers 3 choices — our standard heavy duty, optional commercial grade, or optional super duty stall bars.

ARC-Bar-Compare

Once you have made the decision to buy aluminum, how do ARC aluminum stalls compare? Check competitive products (see photo above) with a bar wall thickness of only .050. ARC Heavy-Duty stall bars are .074. That’s 45% heavier, and our high-strength, high-temper alloy adds an additional 28% to the strength: all of this at no extra cost to you!

You may also choose the optional .090 wall Commercial-Grade bar or the .125 wall Super-Duty bar at a modest additional charge. The .125 bar is the heaviest aluminum stall bar sold, fully 2 1/2 times heavier than competitive products, and the .090 bar yields amazing strength at a most reasonable cost. They are also made of our super high-strength alloy. Stunning strength; long life!.
